Note: A reference in King Wonderful Adornment chapter of the Lotus Sutra signifies the rarity in encountering the Buddha and his teachings. The story behind the reference is found in the parable of the blind turtle, which appears in the Miscellaneous Agama Sutra. His lifespan is immeasurable kalpas and he lives eighty thousand yojanas (the distance the Royal Army is able to march in a day, equiv. 7klm) down on the bottom of the sea.
